VERTESZ Electronics Ltd. focuses its attention to three market segments of industrial electronic; The first is telecontrol (SCADA projects) of medium voltage secondary distribution network by TELPAM product range. The second is producing measuring devices (transmitters) for electric energy distribution networks and network analyser equipment for measuring power quality in accordance with EN50160. The third is delivering energy counting systems for economy objects.

In the first segment we manufacture RTU units for pole mounted switches or cable ring-main units installed on MV network points. These RTU points are connected to a central dispatcher centre delivered by VERTESZ or other companies. The communication methods are URH radios, GPRS modems or fibre optic cables. MV switches are manufactured by Schneider Electric, ABB, Siemens, Novexia and other smaller companies. VERTESZ has installed more thousands equipment in Hungary. VERTESZ started the installation of related RTU products in 1995.

The second activity range is producing metering devices for measuring of parameters of electric distribution networks. They are current, voltage, power, energy, frequency transmitters. They are high endurance, high precision equipment, which measure the network parameters highly independently from their distorted sine wave. VERTESZ is the greatest manufacturer in Hungary. Separate product range in this segment is the power quality analysers. They are called VHR family. All Hungarian utility company uses our devices and control their low our MV voltage networks by VERTESZ devices. It means many thousands equipment. VERTESZ market share is more than 99 %. There are significant export volumes as well.

The third product range is delivering complete energy counting systems for industrial, commercial plants or third sectors objects. VERTESZ VEGA system is a combination of a SCADA and an energy counting system. VEGA records not only the energy consumption of the objects and the cost centres’ data inside the objects but it can control the energy distribution and measure the energy quality as well. VEGA are involved not only in the electric energy counting systems but it is interested in all type of energies as water, gas, compressed air, etc.

Beside these main activities VERTESZ has some auxiliary products as well. For example IFM/FKM impulse counter modules, SDIR high precision and high reliability  timing relay family for network protection application, RSE serial/Ethernet converter modules. VEGA can accept all signals of external energy meters communicate by official standard COSEM protocol.
